KNIGHTS OF THE KEY

CLAUDIUS RAUCH

PRODUCER

His surname “Rauch“ is the german word for smoke and his favorite pasttime, blowing things up, sure dose it justice. Being the instigator and unfaultering engine behind this film has firmly placed him in the producers chair. But aside of comissioning a script, raising the money, puttting together the crew, supplying state of the art SFX and generally micromanaging every aspect of „THE KEY‘s“ creation, he also portrayed several of the monsters in the movie. This meant hours of grueling make up, gallons of sticky blood and craming eyeball covering contacts into his eyes. So I believe it is safe to say that he was prepared to do just about anything to see his vision become a reality. Gedeon, his partner in crime says, “He is a directors dream come true, he not only always had my back but also adamently defended the borders of the set, creating a joyus and undisturbed playground for us kids“.

GEDEON BURKHARD

DIRECTOR

Putting the challenge of both directing and acting into perspective Gedeon says, “Concentrating on everybody but myself suddenly made acting the easiest job in the world“. But he dose aknowledge the grind of getting a low budget production up onto its feet, “Convincing everybody one by one with nothing but a dream and lots of passion on your side can be grueling“. But Gedeon‘s shit-grin smile makes it very clear that the joy and creative freedom awaiting at the end of that tunnel surpasses everything else by lightyears. Gedeon has been, as he calls it, “dabbling“ in writing for the past twenty years , because he felt that that would be the key (pun intended) to his secret dream of becoming a director. Well, it seems the “dabbling“ has paid off.

MARKUS F. ADRIAN

CO DIRECTOR

Having joined the production for the second block of shooting, he quickly became an invaluable part of “THE KEY“. Catching the film-bug as a child, by way of his fathers video camera, he applied for the prestigious „Babelsberg Film University“ and was accepted. Not only certified but also having accumulated endless knowledge and a world of contacts in the years since, he instantly became a great source of, additions to the crew, postproduction partners and wonderful casting ideas. Contrary to Gedeon, he has been a horror and splatter aficianado just about all his life and became a highly appreciated soundingboard. Even though he had to jump right into his next directing gig the day „THE KEY“ wraped, he made it a point of stopping in during postproduction, offering a fresh eye and objective guidance.
